Green Initiatives (2009 project)
The US Green Building Council – project in process. A study to determine
what college students think about green initiatives on their campuses and
what will motivate them to participate. Project is being developed in conjunction
with Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications
students and Vincent McCabe. Results will be published in early February
2009.
Volunteering – Why People Volunteer
This study determined subconscious motivations for volunteering and identified
distinct volunteering types. The study report includes tools for non-for-profits
to use to optimize their volunteer recruitment. The study was prepared for
CONTACT Community Services in Syracuse with a grant from the Central New
York Community Foundation. VMI contributed half its services for this study

Project KEEP US – Student Relocation Motivation
This study determines what motivates a student to stay in a college location
after graduation. If you’re an economic developer, you’ll want to learn
what factors motivate area students to stay or relocate. VMI has presented
its findings to various planning organizations, business leaders and college
placement officials. The project was done in conjunction with Syracuse
University students and Vincent McCabe. Check out the full report and even

Public Relations Professionals and Research
This study covers how and why public relations professionals use research.
Results are available on request.
In addition to conducting various studies and surveys for not-for-profit organizations, Vincent McCabe volunteers will also conduct focus groups, training and strategy sessions as time permits.
