VMI assists this organization (and other associations) to build profiles
of their membership that they use to improve their marketing efforts. VMI
also develops its industry index that is seen as the report card for the
industry. VMI explored auditing standards of organizations around the country
and used multivariate analysis to develop the evaluation model for the
index. This industry index that is now in its fourth year and enjoys popularity
with members, the press and the companies it evaluates.
Automotive Aftermarket Manufacturer
From product positioning studies to new product analyses, VMI has conducted
a wide variety of research for this large, well-known marketer in the automotive
aftermarket industry. The company is repositioning itself and launching
a variety of new products – the VMI research has played an important role
in theiir decision-making and strategic planning.
Construction Products Manufacturer
We have developed numerous studies for this client, including focus groups
for child safety products, and for new product designs and packaging, as
well as market size analysis, market knowledge reports, etc. We have worked
with this client for many years in a variety of capacities for many different
commercial and consumer products. Most recently, we explored market segmentation.
Consumer and Commercial Banking
VMI completed a comprehensive “Voice of the Customer” study for this client.
The Bank was attempting to establish its brand in its regional market.
The study covered the many issues facing the industry. VMI studied both
commercial and consumer issues. We developed, through advanced statistics,
a motivational profile of their customer and market base that they have
been able to use for brand development and strategic marketing. To date,
they have met their goals and consistently rely (as they have told us)
on the Vincent McCabe report. Banking is in many ways a commodity, and
finding ways to differentiate was the essence of this research. This research
was the foundation for the Bank’s successful re-positioning in the marekt.
High Tech Manufacturer
VMI has completed a new product development projects for this client. While
we cannot divulge the nature of this product, we can tell you that it involved
determining the possibility of product transfer. VMI was commissioned to
determine if a product and technology from one field could be successfully
applied in a totally new field. Vincent McCabe helped them determine what
the company would need to do to make this transfer successful and project
potential market size and required partnering, branding and product positioning.
Investor Relations
We completed a variety of research projects for this large, multi-national
company. Our overall task was to evaluate the needs of CFOs, corporate secretaries
and VPs of investor relations in a comprehensive fashion. Our “Shareholder
Services Provider of the Future Report,” a result of our research activities,
is a cornerstone of their marketing program. This client hired us and continues
to call us back because of our ability to get research done with subjects
that other groups say are impossible. In fact, this large fortune 100 company
has established a “Voice of the Customer” practice that is an important
part of their marketing and customer service activities. VMI has also developed
consumer new product testing for them through focus groups with stock-portfolio-owning-consumers.
